Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and April Boys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniels comes to the cage accompanied by Marinda Lambert - Jack Daniels. April Boys has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Daniels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, April Boys! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boys looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Boys tries to keep at a distance but Daniels has taken the fight into the clinch. Daniels lands a shoulder strike. Daniels pulls Boys into guard.
Boys trying to control the position from guard on top but Daniels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Daniels tries to strike from the bottom.
Daniels on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Daniels tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boys avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Daniels will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Daniels manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boys looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Boys darts in trying to clinch and Daniels counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boys's guard now. Boys wants to stand and escape but Daniels is having none of it. Boys is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daniels in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Daniels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boys swivels though and keeps the full guard. Daniels is working hard here to advance position. Boys wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Daniels has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Daniels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Boys swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Daniels counters with a single leg into guard. Boys didn't expect that. Daniels trying to control but Boys is working from the bottom. Boys trying to control the position.
Boys wants to stand up but Daniels is controlling him. Daniels controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels tries to free his leg and advance position but Boys is retaining full guard. Daniels throws a big right hand that misses. Daniels throws and elbow that misses. Boys uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Daniels's guard. Nice move by Boys! Daniels throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Daniels dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Boys closes the distance looking to clinch and Daniels moves into the clinch. Boys has a couple of punches blocked by Daniels.
Daniels jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boys walks away with a smile on his face. Daniels gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Daniels has managed to clinch.

Boys tries to clinch but fails miserably and Daniels counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Daniels is tying to control. Boys wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Daniels trying to pass the guard but Boys defending well. Daniels stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Daniels thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boys's head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Daniels wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boys keeps working. Daniels really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Boys throws a right hand that Daniels ducks under and follows up with a left that Daniels also avoids with ease. Daniels dodges the punch combination from Boys.
Daniels drives through and clinches with Boys against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boys prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boys tries to break the clinch but Daniels is controlling the position. Boys can't break the clinch.
Boys can't find room to land a body shot as Daniels controls the action.

Boys has had enough of the clinch but Daniels keeps him there for the moment. Boys is trying to break the clinch but Daniels has him pressed against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boys has had enough of the clinch but Daniels keeps him there for the moment. Daniels tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Daniels keeps control of Boys as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Daniels prevents Boys from breaking the clinch. Daniels ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Daniels no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Boys won't allow Daniels to sweep him here. Daniels is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Daniels dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Daniels counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Boys keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Daniels misses with a head shot. Boys uses the momentum to regain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daniels throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boys works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Boys wants to get back to his feet but Daniels is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels stands up and waves to Boys to follow him. Boys darts in trying to clinch and Daniels counters by moving into the clinch. Boys has had enough of the clinch but Daniels keeps him there for the moment. A short body shot lands from Daniels as the two fighters clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Boys wants to break free but Daniels has control.

It looks like Jack Daniels has been cut. Boys thuds a left hand into Daniels's body. A punch combination from Boys misses. Daniels changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boys tries to avoid it but Daniels manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boys to the ground. Boys escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jack Daniels is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boys misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Daniels counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Daniels. April Boys has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boys wants to break free but Daniels has control.

Boys can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Daniels controls the pace. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Daniels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Daniels showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Daniels, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
