Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cayden Monroe (ranked 5380 p4p, 363 weight class) and Ru Shi Wu Cao (ranked 24259 p4p, 412 weight class). Cayden Monroe looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wu Cao.
Monroe was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Monroe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wu Cao circles away.
Wu Cao's coach down at Ferocious beast was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wu Cao's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Monroe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wu Cao avoids it really well and circles away.
Wu Cao throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wu Cao rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Monroe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Monroe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cayden Monroe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Monroe shoots for a takedown but Wu Cao saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Monroe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Monroe is breathing heavily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Monroe or perhaps it was just good defense by Wu Cao, which made it look bad.
A countering left hand to the body from Wu Cao misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monroe blocks a head kick by Wu Cao.

Wu Cao changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Monroe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Monroe bucks up and tries to throw Wu Cao off but instead Wu Cao has got his back!

Wu Cao keeps control of the position easily here as Monroe tries to buck him off.
Can Monroe hold on?! Wu Cao is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Wu Cao has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Monroe is in real trouble here. Wu Cao gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Monroe is tapping out! Wu Cao wins by rear naked choke!
