Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willem Korsemann (ranked 5339 p4p, 475 weight class) and Randy Smalls (ranked 24665 p4p, 530 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Willem Korsemann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Smalls!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smalls closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Korsemann quickly recovers to half guard.
Smalls looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Smalls controlling the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smalls trying to mount his opponent but Korsemann defends it.
Korsemann on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Smalls decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Korsemann ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Korsemann throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Smalls blocks it with crossed arms.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smalls can do anything to dispel that myth.

Korsemann has gone for a leg lock! Smalls slips out almost immediately though and dives into Korsemann's guard.
Korsemann wants to sweep but no luck.
Korsemann can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Smalls controls the pace.
Smalls decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Korsemann, up you get!
Smalls looks for a takedown but Korsemann sprawls well.

Korsemann defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smalls.
Willem Korsemann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Smalls.
Smalls walks forward, straight into a front kick from Korsemann.
Korsemann throws a head kick that Smalls semi-blocks.
Smalls shoots in for a takedown but Korsemann shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Korsemann lands a right hook to the body.
Korsemann lands a jab to the nose.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Korsemann paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Korsemann turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Smalls shoots in but no luck this time.
Korsemann misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smalls shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smalls showed some decent athleticism there.

Korsemann has a hand on Smalls's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Smalls takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Korsemann is desperately trying to improve his position but Smalls has a good base and remains in mount.

Smalls stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Korsemann throws a head kick but Smalls moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smalls is defended easily by Korsemann.
Korsemann moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Korsemann really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smalls is trying hard to land a takedown here. Korsemann sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Smalls takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Korsemann throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Korsemann cracks Smalls with an open hand slap.
Korsemann plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smalls gets a clinch.
Smalls blocks an uppercut.
Smalls drags the fight down to the ground.
Korsemann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smalls swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smalls looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Willem Korsemann will probably get the nod.
That's time! Korsemann's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smalls misses with a takedown attempt - Korsemann sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Randy Smalls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Korsemann scores with a hook to the body. Smalls takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Korsemann sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Smalls doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Korsemann paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Smalls - great work!
