Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jo Jotaro (ranked 4782 p4p, 429 weight class) and James Freeman (ranked 3615 p4p, 368 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jo Jotaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Freeman! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jotaro is looking to clinch but Freeman is avoiding it.
Jotaro swats away the attempt to clinch by Freeman. Freeman tries to clinch but Jotaro is having none of it. Freeman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jotaro pinned against the cage. Jotaro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jotaro went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Freeman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jotaro circles away. Jotaro is looking for a counter combo. Horrible takedown attempt by Freeman or perhaps it was just good defense by Jotaro, which made it look bad. Jotaro went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Jo Jotaro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Freeman. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Freeman dives in for a single leg takedown but Jotaro sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jotaro leaves Freeman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've been told by Jotaro's head coaches at Russian Bears Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Freeman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jotaro sprawls well. Jotaro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Freeman gets slowly back to his feet. Jo Jotaro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jotaro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Freeman. Freeman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Freeman looks winded! Freeman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jotaro throws a quick counter head kick but Freeman was just out of range. Jotaro clinches with his opponent.

Freeman lands a right hand. Jotaro gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Freeman regains guard.
Jotaro controlling from the top position. Jotaro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jotaro showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jotaro drops back looking for a leg! Freeman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Freeman manages to kick Jotaro off! Jotaro jumps back into Freeman's guard. Jotaro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Freeman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jotaro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Freeman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Freeman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jotaro is aware though and is defending well. Jotaro wants to control from the top but Freeman keeps moving. Jotaro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jo Jotaro dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Jotaro. No joy for Freeman on that attempt. Jo Jotaro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Freeman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Freeman clinches up against the cage. Still in the clinch, Freeman scores with a nice short uppercut. Jotaro wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Freeman misses with a hook from the clinch. Freeman pulls guard. Jotaro is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Freeman can do to turn this around? Jotaro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jotaro is taking a break and basically stalling. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Freeman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jotaro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jotaro controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jotaro working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jotaro is looking to stand up but Freeman won't let him. Freeman looking for subs off his back but Jotaro has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Freeman looking for subs from the bottom but Jotaro mounts him! Freeman is squirming around, avoiding Jotaro's attempts to control the action. Jotaro gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Freeman shoots for a double leg takedown but Jotaro sprawls well. He's pushed Freeman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jo Jotaro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Freeman. Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jotaro's waist but Jotaro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side. Jotaro is looking for a counter combo. Freeman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jotaro paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jotaro throws a big counter combination but Freeman scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Freeman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. It looked like Jotaro was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Freeman is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Freeman tries to clinch up but Jotaro circles away and keeps his distance. Freeman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jotaro throws a nice looking combination but Freeman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jo Jotaro dominated that second round. That's time! Jotaro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

"I don't think so" says Jotaro as he avoids it easily. Jo Jotaro is winning the standup battle so far. Jotaro pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Freeman steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Jotaro. Jotaro moves into the clinch successfully.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Jotaro. Freeman throws a punch but it's blocked by Jotaro. Jotaro wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Freeman tries to pull guard but Jotaro won't allow it.
Jotaro tightens his grip and picks Freeman up, before dumping him to the ground. Freeman manages to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jotaro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jotaro throws a big right hand that misses. Freeman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jotaro uses it to pass to side control.
Freeman tries to bench press Jotaro off him but Jotaro keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jotaro tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jotaro has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jotaro controls the position from side control. Freeman is not content to let Jotaro control the position. Freeman is looking to reverse the position. James Freeman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Freeman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jotaro stands up and beckons Freeman to his feet. Jotaro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that's the end of the fight! Jo Jotaro showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jotaro, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
