Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobo Nielsen (ranked 282 p4p, 35 weight class) and Luiz Alves (ranked 2290 p4p, 237 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luiz Alves!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Nielsen
and Alves counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Nielsen is not content to let Alves control the position.
Nielsen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alves's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alves's back!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nielsen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Alves manages to reverse the position and now he's in Nielsen's guard. Nice work there by Alves.

Nielsen is just content to waste time from the top position. Alves takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nielsen throws a hook but Alves avoids it easily.
Alves slaps away a takedown attempt from Nielsen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Alves tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nielsen defends well and Alves ends up having to push Nielsen into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like Nielsen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Alves is rocked!
Nielsen lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Alves head around and knocks him out cold! Nielsen hops onto the ropes and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
