Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Foster (ranked 4894 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Plunkett (ranked 3966 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Plunkett has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brad Foster's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brad Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jake Plunkett! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Plunkett fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Foster seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Plunkett closes the distance and clinches. A battle for position here, against the cage. Plunkett has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Foster avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Plunkett wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Foster misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Plunkett. Plunkett stalls. Plunkett stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Plunkett receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Plunkett manages to pull guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plunkett has control of Foster's left arm, preventing Foster from doing any damage. Plunkett has a closed guard, preventing Foster from standing up. Foster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Plunkett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Foster preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Foster is looking to pass into half guard but Plunkett pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Plunkett is in guard. Foster looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Plunkett working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Plunkett tries to free his leg and advance position but Foster is retaining full guard. Plunkett won't allow Foster to sweep him here. Foster is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Plunkett is stalling in the full guard. Plunkett looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Plunkett gets a clinch. Plunkett pulls guard effortlessly. Plunkett throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Foster won't allow Plunkett to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Foster trying to control but Plunkett is working from the bottom. Plunkett wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Plunkett keeping moving, preventing Foster from controlling successfully. Foster is breathing heavily. Foster is really struggling to control Plunkett but he's trying to hold on to the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Plunkett trying to control the position here. Plunkett scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Plunkett clinches with his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Plunkett dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Plunkett shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Foster sprawls well. Foster wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Plunkett gets slowly back to his feet. Foster lands a two punch combo.
Plunkett moves into the clinch. Plunkett successfully pulls guard.
Plunkett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Foster manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Plunkett moves into full mount! Foster won't be happy about that!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plunkett controlling from mount. Plunkett is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Foster closes the distance looking to clinch and Plunkett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foster is looking to clinch. Plunkett throws a low kick but Foster moves out of range easily. Plunkett shoots in looking for a takedown. Foster tries to sprawl out of it but Plunkett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Foster manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Plunkett goes for a double leg but Foster avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Foster continues to drive forward. Brad Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Plunkett. Foster throws a head kick that misses and Plunkett counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Plunkett avoids a wild elbow strike from Foster. Foster is trying to break the clinch but Plunkett is controlling him. Foster is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Plunkett to keep the fight standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Plunkett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Let's hope that Plunkett has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Foster has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Plunkett is working away from the top position though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Plunkett sitting and controlling from the half guard. Foster is looking to improve his position.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Plunkett is working for a kimura but Foster is defending it quite comfortably.

Plunkett has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Foster uses from the top position.
