Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taz Fodido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Morrissey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taz Fodido had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrissey rushes Fodido and presses him up against the ropes.
Morrissey tries to score a body lock takedown but Fodido shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Morrissey stops a takedown attempt from Fodido.
Morrissey drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Morrissey wants to improve his position but Fodido is controlling well.
Fodido tries to pass the half guard into mount. Morrissey knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Morrissey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fodido. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Morrissey moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Morrissey feints and then cracks Fodido's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fodido down.

Morrissey is trying to drag Fodido to the mat but Fodido just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Morrissey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fodido avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Morrissey lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fodido backwards.
Fodido with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Morrissey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like Taz Fodido has been cut.
Morrissey lands with a kick to the temple. Fodido shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Jim Morrissey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morrissey lands a nice shot that snaps Fodido's head back.
Morrissey turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Morrissey wants to clinch up but Fodido keeps it at a distance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Morrissey throws a nice looking combination but Fodido bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Morrissey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fodido, pushing him back against the ropes.

Fodido wants to stand but Morrissey has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Morrissey avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fodido tries to stand but Morrissey is controlling from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fodido accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Morrissey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fodido but Fodido pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Taz Fodido is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fodido drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

I would just about give that final round to Jim Morrissey.
I've got Morrissey winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
