Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Riku Tiirismaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big E (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Riku Tiirismaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Big E!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
E has a takedown stuffed.
E throws a series of punches but Tiirismaa moves out of range.

Tiirismaa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tiirismaa controlling the position from side mount.
E is trying to improve his position.
Tiirismaa has knee on belly and moves into mount.
E looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
E can't escape the position.
Tiirismaa doesn't have the hooks in and E manages to turn into his guard.

E trying to control but Tiirismaa is working from the bottom.
Tiirismaa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tiirismaa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because E is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Tiirismaa gets a takedown into half guard.

E is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Tiirismaa pulls his head out easily.

Tiirismaa moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from E.
E tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tiirismaa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
E looks gassed!

Tiirismaa decides to take the fight back to the feet.

E shoots in and bounces Tiirismaa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
E is in close to Tiirismaa's body, working some short punches and elbows.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
E is fighting to break Tiirismaa's control of his arms but Tiirismaa is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

E decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tiirismaa, up you get!
E tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
E misses with a takedown attempt

and Tiirismaa counters with a takedown into side control.
Tiirismaa wants to control but E is keeping him busy.
E is trying to control Tiirismaa's posture but Tiirismaa avoids it.
E tries to bench press Tiirismaa off him but Tiirismaa keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on E's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tiirismaa tries for a kimura but E is defending well.
E wants to control but Tiirismaa postures up.
E gets back to half guard.
E is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tiirismaa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tiirismaa's back!

E has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tiirismaa has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

E throws a right and a left that Tiirismaa avoids nicely.

Tiirismaa closes the distance and pushes E back into the cage.

E escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tiirismaa looking to sit in guard and control but E gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

E decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Riku Tiirismaa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tiirismaa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. E tries to avoid it but Tiirismaa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag E to the ground. E escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

E tries for a takedown but Tiirismaa circles away easily

Tiirismaa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so E is just riding it out for now. Tiirismaa eventually gives up the hold.

Tiirismaa blocks a head kick by E.

E throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tiirismaa.
E shoots for a double leg takedown but Tiirismaa sprawls well. He's pushed E's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tiirismaa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

E tries to roll over but Tiirismaa keeps him under control.

Tiirismaa won't allow E to get back to his feet.
E wants to hit a switch here but Tiirismaa passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for E there!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

E is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tiirismaa asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tiirismaa is going olschool here, as he tries to force E to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so E shrugs it off.

Tiirismaa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. E can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Tiirismaa stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
E keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
E fails with the takedown.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tiirismaa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
