Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ultime Fauchelevent (ranked 1190 p4p, 147 weight class) and Jerome Steel (ranked 1158 p4p, 144 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fauchelevent might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rue des Cascades. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fauchelevent on the side of the head.
Steel has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Fauchelevent is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Fauchelevent uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steel.
Fauchelevent has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Steel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fauchelevent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steel tries to avoid it but Fauchelevent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steel to the ground. Steel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jerome Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fauchelevent moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fauchelevent is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Steel.
Steel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fauchelevent.

Steel thuds a left hand into Fauchelevent's body.
Steel throws a hook but Fauchelevent avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fauchelevent moves in looking to clinch but Steel pushes him off.
Steel pounces like a tiger and cracks Fauchelevent with a vicious hook! Fauchelevent is down but not out! Steel follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
