Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jemaliejnko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Muniz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Jemaliejnko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Muniz!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muniz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jemaliejnko!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jemaliejnko looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Muniz stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Jemaliejnko moves in looking to clinch but Muniz pushes him off.
Muniz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jemaliejnko paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Muniz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Muniz throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jemaliejnko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Muniz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jemaliejnko has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jemaliejnko!

Muniz shoots in looking for a takedown. Jemaliejnko tries to sprawl out of it but Muniz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jemaliejnko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Muniz. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

I really don't envy Jemaliejnko right now.
Muniz controlling the position well here. Jemaliejnko rolled but Muniz kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Muniz is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jemaliejnko defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alex Jemaliejnko will probably get the nod.

Muniz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Muniz holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jemaliejnko tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Jemaliejnko is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Muniz reverses the position - he's now on top in Jemaliejnko's guard.

Muniz sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Muniz looking to sit in guard and control but Jemaliejnko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Muniz can't keep his opponent in guard - Jemaliejnko advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rafael Muniz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Muniz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
