Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Burris Didache! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chozen Won! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Won takes a swing at Didache's ribcage but misses. Didache appears to be looking for a counter takedown. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Didache. Nice takedown defense from Didache. No joy for Won on that attempt. Didache is looking to counter the offense by Won and move into the clinch. Didache swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Won counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Didache is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Didache wants to get back to full guard but Won has mounted him! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Didache tries to hold on but Won postures up. Didache tries to reverse the position but Won maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Won landing strikes from the mount and Didache is in trouble! Won fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Didache is working hard here to advance position. Won looking to finish Didache with some ground and pound. This is bad for Didache! Didache is bucking up trying to escape but Won cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Didache tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Didache manages to regain half guard. Good work. Didache wants to improve his position but Won is controlling well.
Won trying to control the action but Didache is working from the bottom. Didache trying to hold on to Won's head to control him but Won postures up.
Didache is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Won wants to pass to mount but Didache is defending the position.

Won is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Won scoring with strikes to the body and head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Won trying to control from half guard but Didache is working away. Didache wants to improve his position but Won is controlling well.
Didache has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Won is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Won looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Didache with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Won is stalling here. Didache is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Won seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Didache has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Won is looking for a sweep. Won is still trying to improve position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Didache working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Won manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Won missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chozen Won dominated that round. That's time! Didache's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A big right from Won misses. Didache is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Didache stuffs the takedown. Won misses the jab. Didache is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Won. The fighters circling - Won throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Didache half committed to a counter leg kick. Won slips a straight right by Didache. Won throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Didache tries to counter with a takedown but Won is quick to defend against it. Didache fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Won manages to avoid it. A low kick from Didache misses and Won counters with a single leg into guard. Didache didn't expect that. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Didache working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Won. Won stays in close to Didache's body and controls the position. Didache seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Won wants to control from the top but Didache keeps moving. Won pushing down on Didache's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Won looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Won connects with a nice short shot to Didache's temple. Won misses with a head shot. Didache uses the momentum to regain guard. Won with a nice head shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Didache wants to sweep but no luck. Didache is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Didache trying to control the position.
Didache looking to hit a scissor sweep but Won is one step ahead there. Didache trying to keep a closed guard but Won is proving a slippery customer.
Won won't allow Didache to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Didache has momentary wrist control but Won slips an elbow through the middle. Didache looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Won trying to control the position from guard on top but Didache is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Won won't allow Didache to sweep him here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Didache throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Didache throws a sloppy body shot
and Won counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Didache holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Didache is staying active underneath Won, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Won tries to pass to full mount but Didache defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Didache wants to control but Won is keeping busy.
Didache wants to control the action here but instead Won manages to pass to full mount! Won scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Won has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Won with the ground and pound from mount. Didache tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Won lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Won is in the full mount, landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chozen Won showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Won avoids the body shot from Didache.
Won is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. A slow jab from Won misses its intended target. A swing and a miss from Won. Won throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Didache swings away with a leg kick that misses. Chozen Won seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Didache shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Didache moves into the clinch successfully.
Won is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Won letting Didache take a breather here. Won is looking to break free of the clinch but Didache has double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Won breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Won fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Didache tries to land a leg kick but Won saw it coming and moves away.
Won leaves Didache with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Won fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Won tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Didache swivels and escapes. Burris Didache has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chozen Won. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Didache is defended easily by Won. Burris Didache has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chozen Won is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Won throws out a loose jab but Didache uses good head movement to avoid it. Didache shoots in looking for a takedown. Won tries to sprawl out of it but Didache keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Won manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Didache throws a chopping leg kick but Won manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Didache is looking to score with low kicks. Didache fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Won manages to avoid it. Won keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Didache. Won does a little dance to reset his feet. Won changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Didache swings away with a body shot that misses
and Won counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Didache!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Won is looking to take a break and control but Didache is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Won working the ground and pound. Didache is working to avoid the ground and pound but Won connects with a decent elbow. You can see the frustration on Didache's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Won trying to control the action but Didache is working from the bottom. Won looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Won trying to control the position but Didache is working away. Didache tries to improve position but can't. Chozen Won has got the better of the ground game so far. Didache gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Didache tries to reverse the position but Won maintains control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Won unloading with bombs!
And that's the end of the fight! Chozen Won comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Won winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
