Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Matheus Hari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hari avoids the head kick by Smith.

Hari shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Hari's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith tries to land a leg kick but Hari saw it coming and moves away.
Hari rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage.
Smith tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Hari has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hari is trying to maintain a safe position but Smith gets an underhook and turns Hari into the cage.

Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hari's waist but Hari gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.

Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hari jumps guard and drags Smith to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's time! Hari's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hari shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.
Smith has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Smith wriggles free and stands up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hari closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hari lands in his opponent's guard.

Hari lands a hook that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Hari jumps guard but Smith stands there with Hari around his waist. Hari gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
