Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Judson Franks (ranked 6812 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bahri Rizki (ranked 4937 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Judson Franks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bahri Rizki!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rizki pushes Franks up against the cage in a clinch.
Franks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rizki prevents it.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Rizki.
Franks tries to pull guard but Rizki won't allow it.

Rizki manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rizki looking for a sweep. Not yet Rizki, not yet.
Rizki pulls Franks in close to prevent any damage.
Franks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Franks really is a fat lump.
Rizki has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rizki looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Rizki might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Franks haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rizki throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Franks tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rizki is in Franks's guard.

Rizki is working Franks over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Franks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rizki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Franks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rizki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rizki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rizki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Franks is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rizki defends well.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Franks tries to pull guard but Rizki won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Franks postures up in Rizki's guard and throws a big left but Rizki blocks it.
Rizki has his hands on Franks's head, controlling the position.
Franks won't allow Rizki to sweep him here.
Rizki pulls Franks in close to his closed guard and prevents Franks from doing any damage or advancing position.
Franks works over Rizki with some ground and pound from guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Rizki is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bahri Rizki dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Rizki shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rizki is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Franks!
Rizki postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Franks looks a forlorn figure.


It looks like Judson Franks has been cut.
Rizki manages to capitalize on a mistake by Franks to take his back!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rizki is looking for a choke. Franks gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Franks manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Rizki manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Rizki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Franks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Franks drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rizki sprawls and moves away.

Franks explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Rizki has gone for a leg lock! Franks slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rizki's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Franks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rizki works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Rizki manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Franks is looking for a takedown.
Franks tries to pull guard but Rizki holds him up against the cage and eventually Franks drops back down to his feet.

Rizki wants to sweep but no luck.
Franks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Franks tries to stand but Rizki is controlling from the bottom.

Franks stands up and waves to Rizki to follow him.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Both fighters circling a little - Rizki finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Bahri Rizki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Rizki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Franks is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Rizki is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Rizki sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Franks is trying to reverse the position but instead Rizki has taken his back - oops!

Franks defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Franks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rizki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Franks wants to stand and escape but instead Rizki has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Franks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rizki defends it easily.
Rizki is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rizki wants to control from the top but Franks keeps moving.
Rizki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rizki. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Rizki moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Rizki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Franks's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bahri Rizki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rizki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
