Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dvornoy Alkash (ranked 883 p4p, 104 weight class) and Hitoshi Yoshida (ranked 402 p4p, 45 weight class). Yoshida has chosen Yoshida Brothers - Rising as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dvornoy Alkash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Hitoshi Yoshida! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoshida throws a jab when Alkash was well out of range. Alkash was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. A jab from Alkash misses. A jab from Alkash misses. Yoshida throws a body punch but Alkash moves out of range. Alkash thinks about countering with a head kick. Yoshida pushes Alkash up against the ropes in a clinch. Alkash lands a left hand.
Yoshida drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Alkash gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Alkash swings away with an uppercut that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alkash blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Alkash prevents a body shot from Yoshida. Alkash pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Yoshida lands a jab to Alkash's midsection. Yoshida darts in and clinches Alkash up against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alkash lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Alkash doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Yoshida goes for a takedown attempt but Alkash pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Alkash rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yoshida counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Yoshida wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alkash keeps working. Alkash is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at AK Beasties, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Alkash trying to control but Yoshida postures up.
Yoshida wants to work for an arm triangle but Alkash is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Alkash wants to improve his position but Yoshida is controlling well.
Alkash manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yoshida pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alkash is keeping the position for now. Yoshida passes easily into side control. Nice work. Alkash regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yoshida looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Yoshida is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Alkash to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Alkash keeping moving, preventing Yoshida from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Alkash is trying to keep Yoshida in close.
Alkash is pulling down on Yoshida's head to control his posture. Yoshida tries to free his leg and advance position but Alkash is retaining full guard. Yoshida trying to control but Alkash is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Yoshida blocks a low kick nicely. Yoshida wants to counter the offense by Alkash and move into the clinch position. A momentary lapse in concentration from Alkash enables Yoshida to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alkash manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Alkash controlling the position.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Yoshida wants to pass the guard but Alkash is keeping the position. Alkash trying to control the position.

Alkash had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yoshida defends it easily. Alkash throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Yoshida trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alkash is trying to keep Yoshida in close.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Alkash pivots, looking for a leg kick but Yoshida is out of range and Alkash settles back down. Alkash has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Yoshida finds it's way round the side to connect with Alkash's head. Yoshida darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Alkash pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Alkash throws a jab when Yoshida was well out of range. Alkash throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Yoshida shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alkash manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Alkash seems keen to control Yoshida's posture. Yoshida wants to pass the guard but Alkash is keeping the position. Alkash wants to control the position but Yoshida says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Alkash is looking to control Yoshida's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alkash avoid being mounted? Yoshida has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Yoshida pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Yoshida controlling the pace for now. Alkash bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Alkash trying to control but Yoshida is working from the bottom. Yoshida lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Yoshida trying to control but Alkash is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Alkash controls Yoshida momentarily but Yoshida frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hitoshi Yoshida dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Yoshida shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yoshida showed some decent athleticism there. Alkash is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yoshida's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yoshida's back! Yoshida is trying to break free.

Alkash controls the position. Alkash is trying to stick to Yoshida's back but Yoshida is turning into Alkash. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alkash's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Yoshida. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Alkash looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yoshida forces his way into half guard. Yoshida trying to control the action but Alkash is working from the bottom. Dvornoy Alkash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alkash wants to control but Yoshida is keeping busy and won't allow it. Alkash manages to get to full guard.
Yoshida is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alkash can't keep his opponent in guard - Yoshida advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Alkash gets full guard. Alkash is trying to control the position but Yoshida postures up. Yoshida wants to pass the guard but Alkash is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Yoshida passes Alkash's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Yoshida is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alkash doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yoshida. Hitoshi Yoshida has got the better of the ground game so far. Yoshida seems to be working for a kimura but Alkash defends the submission attempt. Alkash wants to control but Yoshida is keeping busy.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Yoshida throws a body shot but no joy. An attempted straight right counter from Alkash misses the target. Yoshida throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Alkash swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Yoshida shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Yoshida tries to clinch up. Yoshida misses with a looping right. Yoshida moves into the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Alkash.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Yoshida can't find room to land a body shot as Alkash controls the action.
Alkash tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Yoshida tries to score a body lock takedown but Alkash shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Alkash breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yoshida slips a jab from Alkash. Yoshida lands a jab to the nose. Yoshida has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Alkash lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Yoshida has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Yoshida and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Yoshida throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Yoshida moves out of range of the leg kick from Alkash. Hitoshi Yoshida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alkash slips under a jab. Yoshida defending well as Alkash loads up on a big left hand. Yoshida moves out of range as Alkash strikes.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Yoshida throws a lazy right hand but Alkash sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Alkash was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A left lands for Yoshida. Alkash misses with an uppercut. Yoshida saw that one coming. Yoshida throws out a powerful jab. Alkash looks to throw the jab but Yoshida is out of range. Alkash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yoshida.
Nice defenses there by Yoshida. Alkash sets himself, and Yoshida steps forward looking for the clinch! Alkash avoids it this time. Dvornoy Alkash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yoshida, as that shot connected.
Alkash throws a leg kick but Yoshida sees it coming and checks it nicely. Hitoshi Yoshida seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Alkash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Alkash stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yoshida. Yoshida lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Alkash throws a lazy head kick and Yoshida counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alkash won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alkash is looking for a sweep. Alkash is not content to let Yoshida control the position. Yoshida controlling the position.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Yoshida advances to mount. Alkash sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Yoshida is working for a submission of some sort.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Alkash looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Yoshida pushes past his half guard into mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Hitoshi Yoshida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Yoshida has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
