Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Dudley (ranked 805 p4p, 106 weight class) and Tatu Kurri (ranked 471 p4p, 68 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tatu Kurri enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Dudley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tatu Kurri! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurri gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dudley. Kurri misses with a takedown attempt - Dudley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jab by Dudley. A punch lands to the side of Kurri 's head but he takes it in his stride. The fighters circle momentarily. Dudley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dudley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kurri.
Kurri shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dudley but Dudley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurri throws out a leg kick but Dudley moves out of range and Kurri only half commits. Good exchange - Dudley coming out on top. Kurri tries for a takedown but Dudley circles away easily and Dudley counters with a straight right hand. Damian Dudley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tatu Kurri. Kurri slips a jab and a cross from Dudley.
Dudley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kurri moves away. And Kurri tries to counter it with a takedown but Dudley pushes his down on his head and steps out. Dudley lands a right hook to the body.
Dudley lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kurri gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dudley looks to land a combination but Kurri avoids it well. Kurri is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Dudley with a body shot. Kurri tries for a takedown but Dudley circles away easily and Dudley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kurri takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dudley stuffs the takedown attempt from Kurri. Kurri gets slowly back to his feet. Damian Dudley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dudley stuffs the takedown attempt from Kurri. Kurri gets slowly back to his feet. Dudley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurri shoots in looking for a takedown. Dudley tries to sprawl out of it but Kurri keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dudley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dudley was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Donk. Dudley catches Kurri right on the button with a cross. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dudley scores with a jab. Kurri acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Dudley misses with a lunging right hand
and Kurri counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kurri. Dudley manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurri pulls guard effortlessly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dudley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kurri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dudley has managed to get both his arms back between Kurri's legs - danger averted. Dudley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dudley controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kurri working for a triangle but Dudley defends it easily.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Dudley showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dudley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kurri swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kurri is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kurri closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dudley circles away. Kurri takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Dudley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kurri avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kurri looks like he wants to counter punch here. Kurri shoots in and drives through. Dudley sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kurri shoots in but no luck this time. Dudley is looking for a counter combo. Damian Dudley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tatu Kurri. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kurri. It looked like Dudley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurri closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dudley to the mat! Dudley manages to get full guard. Kurri throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dudley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kurri. Tatu Kurri has got the better of the ground game so far. Kurri connects with a couple of short punches. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kurri accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kurri content to stall in guard here. Dudley looking for a sweep. Not yet Dudley, not yet. Dudley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dudley has his hands on Kurri's head, controlling the position. Dudley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kurri wants to pass the guard but Dudley is keeping the position. Kurri advances to half guard. Kurri prevents Dudley from improving his position. Kurri trying to control the pace. Kurri lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Dudley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kurri winds up and cracks Dudley with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Dudley tries to roll over but Kurri keeps him under control. Kurri is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dudley defends it well. Kurri is trying to control the action in half guard but Dudley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurri working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kurri seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dudley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dudley tries to get to full guard but Kurri has control of the leg. Kurri is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dudley is just riding it out for now. Kurri eventually gives up the hold. Kurri lands with a punch from half guard. Kurri is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dudley sees it coming and defends easily. Dudley trying to hold on to Kurri's head to control him but Kurri postures up.
Dudley wants to get back to full guard. Dudley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kurri on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurri is keen to just control but Dudley is a slippery customer. Kurri wants to free his trapped foot but Dudley is holding on for dear life with his legs. Dudley is trying is best to control the position here. Dudley on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dudley tries to get out of the position. Dudley is trying to maintain the position but Kurri is very close to passing his half guard. Kurri wants to work for an arm triangle but Dudley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kurri wants to pass the guard but Dudley is defending well. Kurri looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Dudley is trying to escape back to his feet but Kurri uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dudley is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kurri's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Kurri working over Dudley with some ground and pound. Dudley looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tatu Kurri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Kurri fails with a takedown attempt. Good standup being displayed there by Dudley as he connects with a hook. Dudley scores with a jab. A swing and a miss from Dudley. A little jabbing left from Kurri on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Dudley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kurri can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice straight punches there by Dudley. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dudley. Kurri tries for a takedown but Dudley circles away easily and Dudley counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurri with a poor takedown and Dudley counters with a series of strikes. Kurri will be more careful next time no doubt. Damian Dudley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tatu Kurri. Dudley shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kurri eats them both and turns towards Dudley to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Kurri tries for a takedown but Dudley circles away easily and Dudley counters with a one-two to the body. Kurri takes a swing at Dudley's ribcage but misses. Kurri fails with the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kurri gets a double leg takedown into Dudley's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dudley is adopting a defensive guard. Dudley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kurri is one step ahead there. Dudley being controlled here, momentarily. Dudley is trying to control the position but Kurri postures up. Kurri drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dudley dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kurri is looking to cinch up a triangle. Dudley throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kurri's body to avoid the submission. Kurri has instead reached around Dudley's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kurri arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tatu Kurri! After winning the bout, Tatu Kurri thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
