These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch there but Saunders circles away.
Smith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Smith passes to side control.
Saunders tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it.
Saunders is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Smith is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Smith wants to control the pace but Saunders is squirming around nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Smith's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Saunders can't escape the position.
Saunders has hold of Smith's leg, trying to break free but it's let Smith lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Saunders is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Smith throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
