The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Floyd throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rondo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Rondo slips a jab from Floyd.
Floyd scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Floyd sets himself, and Rondo steps forward looking for the clinch! Floyd avoids it this time.
Floyd cracks Rondo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Rondo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd cheers as Floyd lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rondo doesn't seem phased though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Floyd bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rondo's head backwards.
Floyd is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rondo.

Floyd is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

so Rondo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
