Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gorgeous Bob (ranked 1344 p4p, 176 weight class) and Don Petersen (ranked 1410 p4p, 184 weight class). Petersen has chosen James Brown- Living in America as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorgeous Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Petersen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Petersen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Petersen trying to control the position.
Bob with a nice head shot there. Petersen is trying to keep Bob in close.
Petersen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bob. Bob with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bob postures up.
Our spies down at at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter inform us that Petersen has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Bob works over Petersen with some ground and pound from guard. Bob throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bob stands up over Petersen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Petersen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bob tries to get to full guard but Petersen has control of the leg. Petersen is trying to work for a kimura but Bob is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob manages to get to full guard.
Bob wants to sweep but no luck. Bob keeping moving, preventing Petersen from controlling successfully. Petersen stopping the sweep attempt from Bob. Bob is working hard here to advance position. Petersen drops back looking for a leg! Bob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bob manages to kick Petersen off! Petersen jumps back into Bob's guard. Bob wants to sweep here but Petersen controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Petersen advances position into side control! Petersen trying to control the position but Bob is working away. Bob gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Bob is looking for a sweep. Petersen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've been hearing good reports from Bob's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Bob is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Petersen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Petersen's back! Bob misses with punches from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petersen is keeping busy.
Bob scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Petersen is looking for a way out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petersen is trying to break free.
Petersen covering up well under a series of strikes from Bob. Bob somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Petersen grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Petersen is trying to break free.
Bob is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Petersen knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Petersen for a finish. Bob misses with an elbow to the head. Bob cracks Petersen with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Petersen from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Bob is landing with strikes from the back. Bob lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Petersen is rocked! Bob is throwing strikes but Petersen counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Petersen regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob tries to stand and escape but Petersen is controlling the position. Petersen is looking for a sweep. Bob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bob is looking to stall here but Petersen recovers full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bob throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petersen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Petersen trying to keep a closed guard but Bob is proving a slippery customer.

Gorgeous Bob dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Petersen throws a shot from downtown. Bob moves away and avoids it. Gorgeous Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bob throws a body shot but no joy. Petersen drives through with a takedown into Bob's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Bob looking to hit a scissor sweep but Petersen is one step ahead there. Gorgeous Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Petersen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bob is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Petersen has his hands clasped together but Bob extends and breaks Petersen's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bob.
