Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ushat Belov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Urho Mannerheim! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belov gets in close and instigates a clinch. Belov lands with a short head shot on the inside. Mannerheim breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Belov throws a nice looking combination but Mannerheim bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mannerheim has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Belov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mannerheim circles away quickly and effectively. Mannerheim swings for the body but Belov moves out of range.
Mannerheim lands with a shot to the body. Mannerheim lands with a right hand. A low kick from Mannerheim is predictable there and Belov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mannerheim with a nice cross. That kick from Mannerheim tenderised Belov's leg. Belov is trying to keep his angry face on. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Belov clinches with his opponent.
Belov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mannerheim backwards. Mannerheim wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. A short left from Belov. Belov misses with a punch on the inside.

Belov lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Belov lands with a left to the head. Belov misses with a short punch on the inside. Mannerheim blocks an uppercut.
A short right from Belov. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Belov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Mannerheim is rocked! Belov unloads a knee to the mid-section. Mannerheim lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Mannerheim is still on wobbly legs! Can Belov finish him? Mannerheim looks winded! Belov manages to break the clinch.
Urho Mannerheim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Belov connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Mannerheim out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ushat Belov! After winning the bout, Ushat Belov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
