Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joesph Beasley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan El Loco! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Beasley enables El Loco to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Beasley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. El Loco seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Beasley wants to stand but El Loco is controlling the position. Beasley trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. El Loco trying to control the position from guard on top but Beasley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Beasley has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. El Loco is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. El Loco just leaning against Beasley, taking a breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beasley trying to stall but El Loco improves his position.

Beasley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Beasley is trying to pull guard but El Loco turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Beasley is trying to pull guard but El Loco has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beasley managing to block the knees to the body from El Loco.
Beasley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as El Loco walks away with a smile on his face. Beasley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joesph Beasley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beasley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says El Loco as he avoids it easily. El Loco has managed to clinch.
El Loco has Beasley pressed against the cage, preventing Beasley from circling away and getting back to striking at range. El Loco pulls guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if El Loco can do anything to dispel that myth. Beasley is stalling in the full guard. El Loco looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Beasley postures up in El Loco's guard and throws a big left but El Loco blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. El Loco keeping moving, preventing Beasley from controlling successfully. El Loco wants to stand but Beasley is controlling the position. El Loco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Beasley is one step ahead there. Beasley postures up.
Beasley trying to control the position from guard on top but El Loco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. El Loco working for a triangle but Beasley defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beasley tries to free his leg and advance position but El Loco is retaining full guard. Beasley wants to control from the top but El Loco keeps moving. El Loco wants to sweep but no luck. Beasley postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. El Loco will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
El Loco keeping moving, preventing Beasley from controlling successfully. Beasley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. El Loco lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. El Loco trying to control but Beasley is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beasley wants to control the position but El Loco says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beasley pushes El Loco off looking to stand but El Loco dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan El Loco dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
El Loco throws a series of punches but Beasley moves out of range. Beasley wants to clinch up but El Loco keeps it at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Beasley looks like he's thinking about clinching though. El Loco swats away the attempt to clinch by Beasley. Beasley shoots in but no luck this time. Joesph Beasley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Beasley gets a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beasley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. El Loco just stands there and leans against the cage. Beasley tries to break free but El Loco pushes him back against the cage. El Loco tightens his grip and picks Beasley up, before dumping him to the ground. Beasley manages to land in guard. El Loco trying to control the position from guard on top but Beasley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beasley trying to keep a closed guard but El Loco is proving a slippery customer.
Beasley wants to stand up but El Loco is controlling him. Beasley working a defensive guard here.
Juan El Loco has got the better of the ground game so far. El Loco trying to control but Beasley is working from the bottom. Beasley looking to control.
El Loco throwing strikes but missing. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Beasley is trying to keep El Loco in close.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. El Loco looks to land a body kick but Beasley moved away. El Loco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beasley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Beasley tries to counter with a takedown but El Loco is quick to defend against it. Beasley moves to clinch but El Loco breaks away and El Loco counters with a single leg into guard. Beasley didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Beasley looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! El Loco has picked Beasley up and slammed him! Beasley can't keep hold of the triangle and El Loco manages to pass to side control! Beasley is looking to get back to his feet here but El Loco is keeping cool and he's managed to take Beasley's back. El Loco has been the more effective fighter overall so far. El Loco sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Beasley taps out!
