Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gladiatorus Romanus (ranked 4637 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chucho Peres (ranked 4624 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chucho Peres! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Romanus. Peres does a little dance to reset his feet. Romanus shoots in for a takedown but Peres shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And Peres tries to counter it with a takedown but Romanus pushes his down on his head and steps out. Romanus misses with a hook. Peres feints the counter takedown. Romanus misses with an uppercut. Romanus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peres is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peres swinging wildly here.

Romanus seems to be looking for submissions.

Gladiatorus Romanus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Peres got a little sloppy there for a moment and Romanus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peres has managed to get both his arms back between Romanus's legs - danger averted. Peres passes Romanus's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Romanus keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Peres is looking for a kimura but Romanus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Peres to get the leverage. Peres is breathing heavily.

Romanus has his feet on Peres's thighs here. He's pushed Peres off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Peres screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
