Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Reed (ranked 1523 p4p, 198 weight class) and Billy Batts Jr (ranked 1613 p4p, 204 weight class). Ben Reed has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Reed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Batts Jr! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Batts Jr. Batts Jr closes the distance and lands a one-two. Reed tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Batts Jr throws a leg kick that is checked and Reed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Reed is looking to slow Batts Jr down with leg kicks. Reed on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Batts Jr walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Reed checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Batts Jr thows a leg kick but Reed checks it and Reed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Reed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Batts Jr thows a left - swing and a miss! A counter left hand to the body from Reed misses its target. Reed on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Batts Jr. Batts Jr obviously looking to wear him down.
We've been told by Reed's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Reed throws a leg kick but Batts Jr sees it coming and moves out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Batts Jr comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Batts Jr paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A big right from Reed misses. Batts Jr throws a head kick that misses and Reed connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Reed moves away from the strike by Batts Jr. Batts Jr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batts Jr throws a good cross that connects.
A clash of legs there as Batts Jr blocks the low kick. Batts Jr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Batts Jr checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Reed takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Batts Jr lands with a good body shot. A solid leg kick lands there for Batts Jr.
Batts Jr moves out of range as Reed throws a body kick.
That kick from Reed tenderised Batts Jr's leg. Batts Jr is trying to keep his angry face on. A leg kick checked by Batts Jr. Reed takes one to the chin there. Reed lands a jab to the head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reed takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Batts Jr looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Reed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Reed throws a leg kick but Batts Jr sees it coming and moves out of range. Batts Jr scores with a hook to the body. Reed takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Reed on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Batts Jr. Batts Jr obviously looking to wear him down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Batts Jr.
Batts Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Batts Jr misses with a kick to the body and Reed counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Batts Jr tries to bum rush Reed with a series of wild strikes but Reed uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Reed looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Reed fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Batts Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Reed. Batts Jr scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Reed misses with a leg kick and Batts Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed throws a low kick, looking for Batts Jr's leg but Batts Jr calmly moves out of range. A solid leg kick lands there for Batts Jr.
Batts Jr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Batts Jr is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Reed had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Batts Jr throws a body punch but Reed moves out of range. Batts Jr has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Reed. Batts Jr connects with a nice looking jab.
Reed throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Batts Jr sees it coming and avoids it easily. Batts Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reed throws a leg kick but Batts Jr checks it. A low kick from Reed misses and Batts Jr counters with an outside leg kick.
Reed is looking to score with low kicks. Reed is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Reed is looking to chop away at Batts Jr's legs. Reed looks to throw the jab but Batts Jr is out of range. Batts Jr fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A decent looking cross lands there for Batts Jr.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Batts Jr jabs Reed right on the nose. Reed blinks but takes it well.
Reed is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reed walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Batts Jr! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
