Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Koh Ibu (ranked 132 p4p, 9 weight class) and Takashi Yoshida (ranked 7 p4p, 1 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ibu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to B DASH - WATER POW. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Koh Ibu! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Takashi Yoshida! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoshida uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ibu. Yoshida ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ibu moves away. Ibu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yoshida sees it coming and avoids it easily. Yoshida tries a quick counter leg kick but Ibu is wise to it. We've been informed that Yoshida has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ibu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yoshida's calf. Ibu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yoshida was well out of range. Poor timing from Ibu. A left lands for Ibu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ibu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yoshida sees it coming and avoids it easily. Yoshida looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ibu seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Yoshida throws a leg kick that is checked and Ibu counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoshida walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ibu. Ibu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Koh Ibu has been cut. Koh Ibu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yoshida lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ibu misses the jab. Ibu throws a body shot but no joy. Yoshida is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Ibu with a body shot. Jab by Ibu. Ibu closes the distance and clinches. Yoshida breaks from the clinch.
Yoshida slips under a jab. Yoshida now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ibu throws a leg kick that is checked and Yoshida counters with a nice uppercut. Ibu cracks Yoshida with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A telegraphed right hand from Yoshida misses the target. Ibu on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ibu is rocked! Yoshida lands with a shot to the body. Oh Ibu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ibu tries to clinch but Yoshida moves away and Yoshida counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Ibu out cold! What a finish! Yoshida is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Takashi Yoshida! Takashi Yoshida retains his bantamweight title!
