Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paavo Masala (ranked 2935 p4p, 286 weight class) and Harry Potter (ranked 3443 p4p, 319 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paavo Masala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Potter! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potter throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Potter changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Masala throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Potter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Masala is in Potter's guard. Masala distracts Potter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Masala postures up in Potter's guard and throws a big left but Potter blocks it. Potter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Masala. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Masala working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Masala missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Masala looking to sit in guard and control but Potter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Masala tries to land a sweep but no joy. Potter wants to control from the top but Masala keeps moving. Masala thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masala is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Masala trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Masala has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Potter trying to control but Masala is working from the bottom. Masala manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Potter manages to get himself to full guard.
Masala lands a couple of elbows. Masala trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Masala looking to sit in guard and control but Potter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Masala is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masala works over Potter with some ground and pound from guard. Masala has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Potter working a defensive guard here.
Masala is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Potter is on top in guard.
Masala seems keen to control Potter's posture. Masala is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potter trying to control the position from guard on top but Masala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Potter preventing the sweep. Masala trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Masala has his hands on Potter's head, controlling the position. Masala has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Potter has passed into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Potter working away. Masala is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Masala is working hard here to advance position. Masala is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Potter's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Masala tries to get to full guard but Potter has control of the leg. Masala trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Potter manages to pass to mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Masala looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Masala working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paavo Masala will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Potter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Masala avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Masala decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Masala lands strikes from half guard. Potter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Masala throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Potter to regain full guard. Masala is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Masala wants to control from the top but Potter keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Masala drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Masala jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Potter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Paavo Masala overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masala keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Potter's head. Masala in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Masala works over Potter with some ground and pound from guard. Masala postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Masala in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Masala accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Masala postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Masala throws a strike but Potter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Potter being controlled here momentarily. Masala keeping moving, preventing Potter from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masala pulls Potter in to control the position. Masala manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Potter manages to get himself to full guard.

Potter is trying to control the position but Masala postures up. Masala postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Masala cracks Potter with a solid left hand. Masala engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Masala trying to control the position from guard on top but Potter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Masala landing some decent shots from guard. Masala loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Masala is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Masala is working Potter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Masala content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Masala content to stall in guard here. Masala wants to control from the top but Potter keeps moving. Paavo Masala dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Masala lands a couple of elbows. Masala is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Potter can do to turn this around? Masala scoring with punches to the head and body. Masala showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Masala in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Masala scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Potter being controlled here, momentarily. Harry Potter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masala makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Masala drops back, looking for a kneebar! Potter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Potter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Potter! Potter working away. Masala is trying to improve his position. Masala manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Masala is nestled in close to Potter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masala trying to control the pace. Masala thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Masala seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Potter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Potter is looking to control Masala's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Potter avoid being mounted? Masala thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potter's head. Masala is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Potter is refusing to be controlled, as Masala sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Masala throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Potter to regain full guard. Potter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Paavo Masala is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Potter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Masala controls the pace. Masala's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Paavo Masala showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Masala, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
