Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rascal Donkashane (ranked 3455 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alphaios Alevizos (ranked 3854 p4p, 384 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alevizos with a lazy takedown attempt
and Donkashane counters with a three punch combo that has Alevizos backing up. Alevizos nods at Donkashane to acknowledge the strikes.

Donkashane fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alevizos, pushing him back against the cage.

Donkashane gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Alevizos regains guard.
Donkashane is standing up over Alevizos. Alevizos looks to escape but Donkashane dives into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Donkashane tries for a kimura but Alevizos is defending well.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Donkashane decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Donkashane slaps away a takedown attempt from Alevizos, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Donkashane darts in and clinches Alevizos up against the cage.
Alevizos tries for a takedown but Donkashane manages to get underhooks.
Rascal Donkashane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alphaios Alevizos.
Donkashane is leaning against Alevizos and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Alevizos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Donkashane avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Alevizos is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
