Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Okino Naruhiko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alan Odrobny! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naruhiko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Odrobny circles away. Odrobny is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Naruhiko shoots in and bounces Odrobny off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Naruhiko works over Odrobny with some ground and pound from guard. Naruhiko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Odrobny wants to stand up but Naruhiko is controlling him. Naruhiko is in close to Odrobny's body, working some short punches and elbows. Odrobny is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Naruhiko lands a couple of digs. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Odrobny can do anything to dispel that myth. Odrobny is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Naruhiko advances position into side control! Naruhiko connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Odrobny some visible discomfort.
Naruhiko has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Odrobny is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Naruhiko has just dragged him back down to the mat. Naruhiko working the body and head with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Naruhiko lands a few punches from side control. Naruhiko has knee on belly and moves into mount. Naruhiko working Odrobny over with strikes here. Odrobny's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Naruhiko is landing with some decent strikes but Odrobny is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Odrobny is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

A big strike lands for Naruhiko! That's really hurt Odrobny and he's turned his back - Naruhiko keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Naruhiko jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
