Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mathis Malen (ranked 4378 p4p, 398 weight class) and Baron Geisler (ranked 5082 p4p, 429 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Geisler.
Malen avoids the body shot from Geisler.
Geisler throws a big shot that misses.
Malen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Malen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Geisler blocks a head kick by Malen.
Geisler takes a swing at Malen's ribcage but misses.

and Malen counters with a nice leg kick.
Geisler thuds his right hand into Malen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Malen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Geisler to the ground. Malen is now in Geisler's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malen wants to stand but Geisler is controlling his posture from full guard.
Malen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Geisler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malen wants to get up but he can't break Geisler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Geisler wants to stand up but Malen is controlling him.
Malen gets to his feet. Geisler looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Baron Geisler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Geisler lands a right hook to the body.
Geisler swings for the body but Malen moves out of range.
Malen appears to be looking for a big counter.
Malen throws a front kick that sends Geisler stumbling back into the cage.

Geisler misses with a looping left.
Malen wants to clinch.
Malen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Malen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Geisler pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Malen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Geisler stops a takedown attempt from Malen.

Geisler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Malen moves out of range of the strikes.
Good leg kick by Malen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Geisler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Baron Geisler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Malen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Geisler to the mat! Geisler manages to get full guard.

Geisler can't keep his opponent in guard - Malen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Malen is trying to control the action in half guard but Geisler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Malen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Geisler is just riding it out for now. Malen eventually gives up the hold.
Geisler manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Malen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Geisler tries to avoid it but Malen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Geisler to the ground. Geisler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Geisler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Malen circles away quickly and effectively.
Geisler looks to score with a jab to the body but Malen is just out of range.
Geisler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Geisler wants it to stay on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Geisler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Malen was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Geisler sizes up Malen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Geisler misses with a straight left.
Geisler scores with a jab. Malen acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Malen throws a sloppy head kick and Geisler moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Geisler lunges at Malen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Malen's hand.
Malen is rocked!
Geisler walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Malen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Geisler swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Malen's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
