And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No joy there for Paine, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Paine closes the distance but Gray moves to the side

and Gray counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gray.

Paine has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gray clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Paine lands a shot to the body.
Paine is controlling the position but Gray somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Gray keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Paine missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Paine escapes and gets back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gray.
Gray closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Paine doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Gray counters with a shoot takedown. Paine fights it but they end up in guard.

Gray decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Paine, up you get!

Paine moves into the clinch.

Paine breaks from the clinch.

Gray scores a takedown into full mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gray trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Paine is trying to escape the mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gray working Paine over with strikes here.
Paine wants to control but Gray is having none of it.
Gray lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Gray tries to control but Paine wriggling away.

Paine can't escape the position.
Paine is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Paine looks gassed!

Gray working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Paine looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Gray! Submission of the night perhaps?
