Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asa Sharp (ranked 1662 p4p, 216 weight class) and Gum Shoe (ranked 1393 p4p, 185 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gum Shoe enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Asa Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gum Shoe!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp takes a jab right on the kisser.
Shoe tries to clinch up.
Sharp throws a body shot but no joy.
Shoe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sharp has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sharp there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sharp crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shoe - the referee stops the clock and Sharp gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shoe. Sharp manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

It looked like Sharp was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shoe.
Sharp takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Shoe has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
