Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Trine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ratto Macfedries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ratto Macfedries will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Trine! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ratto Macfedries! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trine bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Macfedries! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Macfedries is rocked!
It looks like Ratto Macfedries has been cut. Trine is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Macfedries is still in real trouble! Can Trine finish him? Trine drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trine jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Macfedries seems to have recovered his senses. Trine advances position into side control! Trine is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Macfedries will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trine working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Macfedries is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trine is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Macfedries's shoulder. That is not cool. Macfedries is pushing Trine's head away, looking to escape. Trine manages to hold on to the position though. Trine works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Trine working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Trine is trying to get an arm triangle but Macfedries is defending well. Macfedries pushes Trine away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Trine gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trine creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Trine is trying to get an arm triangle but Macfedries is defending well. Trine has an Americana. Macfedries didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Trine is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Trine hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Michael Trine! Michael Trine retains his light heavyweight title!
