Jones has chosen Number 1 as his entrance music. Daniel Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerry Maldono!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Jones!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones dives in and grabs Maldono's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maldono pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.
Jones lands a head kick. Maldono smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jones lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Maldono shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Maldono got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maldono has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.
Maldono is sitting in close to Jones's body. Jones has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Maldono is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Maldono is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jones.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Daniel Jones!
Daniel Jones opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
