The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Nakamura shoots in but Hunt avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hunt gets tackled into the cage by Nakamura. Nakamura maintains the clinch.
Hunt swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hunt lands a nice uppercut.
Nakamura tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

It looks like Matt Hunt has been cut.
Toru Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt leaves Nakamura with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nakamura bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nakamura throws a strike aimed at the side of Hunt's head but Hunt avoids it well.

The referee asks Nakamura politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nakamura prefers to stall for the moment though.

Nakamura is landing with some decent strikes but Hunt is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
