0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roy Chuck! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Poulin. Beautiful body shot. Chuck takes the fight into the clinch. Chuck is looking to take this one to the mat. Chuck gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Poulin makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Chuck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Poulin but Poulin pushes him off and we're back to square one. Poulin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Poulin tries to clinch up. Chuck moves into the clinch. Poulin wants to break free but Chuck has control.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Poulin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Poulin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Chuck has picked Poulin up - he's going for a ride! Chuck dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Poulin manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Chuck keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Poulin trying to control the position but instead, Chuck has worked for underhooks and has pushed Poulin into the cage. Poulin misses with a punch on the inside.

A punch combination from Poulin misses. Nice straight punches there by Chuck. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chuck. Chuck ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poulin is looking to clinch but Chuck is avoiding it.
Poulin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chuck circles away quickly and effectively. Chuck throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Poulin is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Chuck keeps the fight on the outside. Chuck darts in looking for a takedown but Poulin gets double underhooks and turns Chuck into the cage. Chuck is breathing heavily. Poulin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Poulin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Chuck. Chuck digs a good body shot into Poulin's ribs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chuck is pushing Poulin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Chuck tries to stall but Poulin uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chuck Poulin. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Poulin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
