Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eddie Alpha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Swango!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Bruno Hogan and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swango steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alpha.
Alpha throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Swango looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Alpha misses with a lunging right hand
and Swango counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Eddie Alpha has been cut.
Swango has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Alpha fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alpha drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Alpha looking to sit in guard and control but Swango gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Swango avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Swango won't allow Alpha to sweep him here.

Swango decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Swango counters with a straight right hand.
Swango walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Alpha has his takedown stuffed
and Swango counters with a series of strikes. Alpha will be more careful next time no doubt.
Swango is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Alpha is rocked!
Alpha looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Swango pounces like a tiger and cracks Alpha with a vicious hook! Alpha is down but not out! Swango follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
