Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Hill (ranked 1649 p4p, 172 weight class) and Sul Duk Hjung (ranked 1652 p4p, 174 weight class). Hjung has chosen Korean National Anthem as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hjung has his takedown stuffed
and Hjung takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hjung misses with a double jab
and Hill cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hjung is rocked!
Hjung tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hjung is still on wobbly legs! Can Hill finish him?
Crunch! Hjung slams his shin into Hill's torso.

Hjung clinches with his opponent.
Hjung tries to pull guard but Hill forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Hill lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hjung backwards.

Hill pulls Hjung into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hjung loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hill working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hjung doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hjung manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hill has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hjung is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hill.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill is squirming around, avoiding Hjung's attempts to control the action.

Hjung jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hill manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Hill is looking to regain half guard here but Hjung keeps moving and retains side control.

Hjung tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hjung has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hill wants to control but Hjung postures up.
Hjung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hill keeps working.

Hjung is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hill's shoulder. That is not cool.

Hjung thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hjung is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hill knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hill wants to control but Hjung postures up.
Hill looks to move to half guard but instead Hjung has passed into mount! Damn!

Hjung is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hill is surviving well by controlling Hjung's body position as best he can.

A close round but Sul Duk Hjung will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Darrel Hill decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
