The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morreno scores with a kick to the midsection. Donaldson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Morreno lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Morreno not landing any meaningful shots this time. Donaldson preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Morreno wants to lay and pray for a moment but Donaldson keeps working. Morreno wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Donaldson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morreno postures up in Donaldson's guard and throws a big left but Donaldson blocks it. Donaldson pushes a forearm under Morreno's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Morreno is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
