Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darren Tellkins (ranked 921 p4p, 122 weight class) and Mateusz Biernat (ranked 4376 p4p, 399 weight class). Tellkins comes to the cage accompanied by Rae Sremmurd - Powerglide ft. Juicy J. Biernat has chosen Marzenia as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Tellkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Mateusz Biernat! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Biernat takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. We've been told by Tellkins's head coaches at Marijuana Gardens that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Tellkins digs a good hook to Biernat's body.
Biernat closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tellkins circles away. Tellkins scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Biernat shoots in looking for a takedown but Tellkins manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Biernat's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Biernat gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Tellkins connects with a right hand. Biernat shakes it off. Tellkins bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Biernat. Darren Tellkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateusz Biernat. Biernat closes the distance and clinches up with Tellkins, looking for a takedown. Biernat pushes Tellkins against the cage but Tellkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. No luck for Biernat with that takedown attempt. Biernat tries for a takedown but Tellkins circles away easily and Tellkins counters with a straight right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Biernat takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Tellkins throws a body shot but no joy. Biernat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tellkins tries to sprawl but Biernat drives through with a takedown into half guard. Biernat is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tellkins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Biernat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Biernat seems to be looking for submissions.
Tellkins manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Biernat keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Biernat jumps guard.
Biernat is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Biernat throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tellkins stands up and waves to Biernat to follow him. Mateusz Biernat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Biernat shoots in for a takedown but Tellkins shows good takedown defense. Biernat shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tellkins sprawls well. Tellkins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Biernat gets slowly back to his feet. Biernat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tellkins tries to avoid it but Biernat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tellkins to the ground. Tellkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Biernat has his takedown stuffed and Tellkins counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Biernat thinking. Biernat looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Biernat shoots in for a takedown but Tellkins shows good takedown defense. Tellkins defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Biernat. Tellkins with a hook. Tellkins bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Biernat's head. Tellkins throws out a loose jab but Biernat uses good head movement to avoid it. Biernat is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Biernat takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Biernat tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tellkins defends well and Biernat ends up having to push Tellkins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Biernat slips a jab from Tellkins. Biernat fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tellkins avoids it really well and circles away. Tellkins throws a lazy right hand but Biernat sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Biernat staying out of range there. Tellkins slaps away a takedown attempt from Biernat, before circling back to the center of the mat. Biernat uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tellkins. Biernat closes the distance and clinches up with Tellkins, looking for a takedown. Biernat pushes Tellkins against the cage but Tellkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tellkins throws a body shot but no joy. Biernat changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Tellkins moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Mateusz Biernat has been cut. Tellkins fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Biernat takes a shot right to the bread basket. Biernat tries for a takedown but Tellkins circles away easily letting Tellkins counter with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Biernat dives in for a single leg takedown but Tellkins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A counter left hand to the body from Tellkins misses its target. Tellkins throws a jab when Biernat was well out of range. Tellkins throws a shot from downtown. Biernat moves away and avoids it. Tellkins misses with a straight left. And Biernat tries to counter it with a takedown but Tellkins pushes his down on his head and steps out. Biernat is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tellkins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Biernat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tellkins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tellkins is looking to counter the offense by Biernat and move into the clinch. Biernat looks winded! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Biernat is defended easily by Tellkins. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darren Tellkins dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mateusz Biernat's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Good standup being displayed there by Tellkins as he connects with a hook. Tellkins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Biernat can do to turn this around? Biernat shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tellkins defends it nicely. As Biernat backs away, Tellkins returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Biernat shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tellkins's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Biernat trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Biernat preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Biernat has gone for a leg lock! Tellkins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Biernat's guard. Tellkins wants to stand but Biernat is controlling his posture from full guard. Biernat had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tellkins defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Biernat keeping moving, preventing Tellkins from controlling successfully. Tellkins controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mateusz Biernat has got the better of the ground game so far. Tellkins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Biernat is proving hard to escape from. Tellkins trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Tellkins wants to control from the top but Biernat keeps moving. Tellkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Biernat has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tellkins has managed to get both his arms back between Biernat's legs - danger averted. Tellkins wants to get up but he can't break Biernat's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Biernat is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tellkins rolls with it to try and escape but Biernat cranks on the arm and Tellkins is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

A very excited looking Mateusz Biernat made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
