Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Caspian Hull (ranked 4201 p4p, 329 weight class) and Josh Morgan (ranked 2669 p4p, 254 weight class). Josh Morgan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Caspian Hull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan lands a body shot.
Josh Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morgan stuns Hull with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Morgan. Hull does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hull went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Hull throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morgan.

Hull misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Morgan.
Morgan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hull is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Caspian Hull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Morgan.

Morgan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hull avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hull bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hull gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Morgan.

Hull got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morgan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hull has managed to get both his arms back between Morgan's legs - danger averted.

Morgan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Morgan has his foot on Hull's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hull works his way back into a safe position though.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Morgan working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
