2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cho Ba! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Donatello Bradman and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ba slips under a jab. Ba looks like he wants to counter punch here. Gassa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ba is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gassa pulls his head out easily. Ba actively working from the bottom here. Gassa looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ba can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gassa works his way into side control. Gassa with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gassa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ba tries to roll over but Gassa keeps him under control. Gassa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ba tries to get to full guard but Gassa has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gassa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ba to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gassa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ba pulls down on the head and he's put Gassa to sleep! This one is all over!
