Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Kordic (ranked 2422 p4p, 287 weight class) and Hamza Keita (ranked 3049 p4p, 340 weight class). Kordic comes to the ring accompanied by Sleep Now In The Fire. Keita has chosen Secka - Pointure as his entrance music. John Kordic has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Kordic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hamza Keita! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot by Kordic. Kordic jabs Keita right on the nose. Keita blinks but takes it well. Kordic scoring well with a low kick there.
Kordic cracks Keita with a good jab. Jab by Kordic. Keita avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Keita shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kordic has a closed guard, preventing Keita from standing up. Keita is looking to work some ground and pound but Kordic has wrist control. Keita postures up.
Keita stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kordic swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kordic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Keita trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keita lands a couple of decent looking shots.
It looks like John Kordic has been cut. Kordic can't keep his opponent in guard - Keita advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Keita has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Keita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kordic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Keita. Keita trying to advance position but Kordic counters by regaining guard. Keita throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keita wants to control from the top but Kordic keeps moving. Keita pushes down on Kordic's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kordic is refusing to be controlled, as Keita sits in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Keita not doing much here.
Keita wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kordic keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Kordic will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on John Kordic's cut. That's time! Kordic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kordic misses with a low kick.
Keita looks like he wants to counter punch here. Kordic stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kordic wants it to stay on the feet. An attempted straight right counter from Kordic misses the target. Kordic lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Keita wants to clinch but Kordic slips to the side and Kordic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kordic works over Keita's head and body with a nice combination. Kordic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Keita can do to turn this around? Good shot there by Kordic. Kordic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Keita shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Keita was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Keita is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kordic knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Keita tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Keita goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kordic has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Keita but great work by Kordic.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kordic trying to control the position but Keita is working away. Keita tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kordic wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Keita regains half guard. Keita tries to roll over but Kordic keeps him under control. Keita looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kordic is pressing down on Keita's thigh, looking to free his foot. Keita is holding on for now. Keita is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Keita is trying to maintain the position but Kordic is very close to passing his half guard. Kordic is looking to take a break and control but Keita is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Keita wants to control but Kordic is keeping busy.
Keita wants to improve his position but Kordic is controlling well.
Keita holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Kordic dominated that second round. The cut man is working on John Kordic's cut. That's time! Kordic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Keita displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kordic throws out the jab. Keita wants to counter with a clinch but Kordic pushes him away. Kordic pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kordic scores with a jab to the jaw. Keita walks into a jab. Kordic lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Keita on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kordic scores with a jab to the head.
Keita fails in his attempt to clinch. A chopping leg kick lands by Kordic. Keita misses with a double jab.
Kordic connects with a crisp jab. A nice inside leg kick there by Kordic. That's going to slow Keita down. John Kordic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kordic lands a nice shot that snaps Keita's head back.
Kordic swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Keita. Kordic is looking to chop away at Keita's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kordic lands a jab to the nose. Keita bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kordic misses with a looping left. Keita shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Keita is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Kordic still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Kordic has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Keita is looking to regain half guard here but Kordic keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kordic tries to stand but Keita is controlling his head. Kordic happy to just control the position for now. Hamza Keita has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hamza Keita has got the better of the ground game so far. Keita manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kordic's best efforts. Kordic is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Keita wants to get back to full guard. Keita flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! John Kordic showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kordic, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
