Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Longburn Rayson (ranked 1562 p4p, 195 weight class) and Russell Jimmerson (ranked 2695 p4p, 284 weight class). Rayson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Judas Priest - No Surrender. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Longburn Rayson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Jimmerson! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rayson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Rayson misses with a body shot.
And Jimmerson tries to counter it with a takedown but Rayson pushes his down on his head and steps out. Jimmerson scores with a sloppy right hand. Rayson should have avoided that one. Jimmerson throws a series of punches but Rayson moves out of range. Rayson lands a front kick. Jimmerson avoids the body shot from Rayson.
Jimmerson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Rayson defends it well. A punch combination from Jimmerson misses. Rayson is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Jimmerson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Russell Jimmerson has been cut. A jab from Jimmerson does it's job there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rayson misses the jab. Jimmerson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rayson tries to land a leg kick but Jimmerson saw it coming and moves away.

Jimmerson shoots in but Rayson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rayson moves away from the strike by Jimmerson. Rayson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Jimmerson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rayson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rayson is trying to get back to half guard. Jimmerson tries to score with some ground and pound. Rayson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Jimmerson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jimmerson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Rayson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jimmerson.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jimmerson working away. Jimmerson working the body and head with strikes. Rayson's coaches at Art of War Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Rayson tries to buck Jimmerson off but Jimmerson is having none of it. Jimmerson working the ground and pound but Rayson is defending the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rayson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rayson tries to buck Jimmerson off but Jimmerson is having none of it. Rayson is working hard here to advance position. Jimmerson lands some shots froms side control. Rayson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jimmerson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jimmerson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Rayson is not content to let Jimmerson control the position. Jimmerson throws a strike aimed at the side of Rayson's head but Rayson avoids it well. Jimmerson trying to control the position but Rayson is working away. Jimmerson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jimmerson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jimmerson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Russell Jimmerson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Russell Jimmerson's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rayson lands a head kick. Jimmerson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Rayson lands with a cross. Rayson throws the left hand but Jimmerson avoids the punch easily. Jimmerson scores with a decent looking hook. Jimmerson throws a nice outside leg kick. Jimmerson lands a right hook to the body.

Rayson walks into a straight right hand from Jimmerson. Rayson misses with a looping right. Rayson checks a low kick from Jimmerson. Jimmerson blocks a jab. Jimmerson has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rayson misses with a hook
and Jimmerson counters with a straight right hand.
Rayson is rocked! Jimmerson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rayson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jimmerson throws a head kick but Rayson moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jimmerson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jimmerson feints a counter leg kick. A telegraphed right hand from Rayson misses the target. Good shot there by Jimmerson. Oh Rayson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rayson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jimmerson lands the left hand. Jimmerson misses with an uppercut. Rayson saw that one coming. Rayson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Good leg kick by Rayson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rayson throws a leg kick but Jimmerson sees it coming and checks it nicely. Rayson throws a head kick but Jimmerson moves out of range.
Jimmerson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rayson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jimmerson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rayson's half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rayson trying to get back to full guard but Jimmerson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Jimmerson lands with some strikes. Jimmerson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rayson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rayson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jimmerson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rayson wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Jimmerson celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Russell Jimmerson! During a confident post fight interview, Russell Jimmerson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
