Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Demitrious Johnson (ranked 24310 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bashaad Al Hammad (ranked 20416 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Demitrious Johnson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bashaad Al Hammad!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Al Hammad manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson 's guard now, I'm sure.
Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Al Hammad is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Al Hammad drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Al Hammad off! Al Hammad jumps back into Johnson 's guard.
Al Hammad is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Al Hammad is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Johnson fails to land the takedown.
Al Hammad with the counter takedown but Johnson avoids it easily.

Al Hammad shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Al Hammad was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Al Hammad happy to just control the position for now.

Johnson is trying to improve his position.
Al Hammad is staying tight to Johnson 's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Johnson is looking for a sweep.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Johnson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Al Hammad shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Al Hammad backs up against the cage.

Al Hammad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Al Hammad looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Johnson tries to kick Al Hammad off in order to stand up. Al Hammad Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Al Hammad gets to mount! Johnson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Al Hammad controlling the position easily from mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
It looks like Al Hammad might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bashaad Al Hammad will probably get the nod.
That's time! Johnson 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Al Hammad avoids it really well and circles away.

Johnson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Al Hammad dives into side control.

Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.

Johnson tries to buck Al Hammad off but Al Hammad is having none of it.

Al Hammad is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Johnson 's shoulder. That is not cool.
Al Hammad has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Al Hammad is continuing to stall.
Johnson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Johnson can't escape the position.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Al Hammad controlling the positon.

Al Hammad has managed to slip his arm under Johnson 's chin. This could be all over... yep, Johnson is tapping out! Submission win for Al Hammad.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bashaad Al Hammad!
Bashaad Al Hammad gave a mention to Strong Suplementos 159Q/$200 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
