Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chan Siam (ranked 5790 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lee (ranked 5804 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siam dives in for a single leg takedown but Lee sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lee changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Siam thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lee if he has to take too many more of those.
A looping hook to the body misses from Siam. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Siam throws a low kick but Lee avoids it.
Lee tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lee blocks a head kick by Siam.

Siam forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.
Siam misses with a shot to the kidneys.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Siam.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Siam takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Siam throws a knee to the head but misses.
Siam content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Siam using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lee has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Siam is trying to pull guard but Lee turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Siam fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lee sprawls well initially but Siam persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Siam wants to stand but Lee has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The fighters are battling for position here. Lee manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Siam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Siam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lee looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Siam has picked Lee up and slammed him! Lee can't keep hold of the triangle and Siam manages to pass to side control!
Siam wants to stand but Lee has his arm trapped.

Siam decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lee to his feet.
Siam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Siam sets himself, and Lee steps forward looking for the clinch! Siam avoids it this time.

Lee closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Siam did well to prevent Lee getting side control.
Lee is pressing down on Siam's thigh, looking to free his foot. Siam is holding on for now.
Siam manages to get to full guard.
Lee is looking to advance position but Siam has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Lee tries to improve his position but Siam has taken his back! Siam has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Lee tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Siam pushes Lee away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
