Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randy Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Maia! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jackson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Maia. Maia wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance. Maia has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maia tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Maia just stands there and leans against the cage. Maia tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.
Maia tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jackson smiles and moves away.
Randy Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Maia. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maia thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maia fails with an attempt to clinch.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily. Maia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Maia fails with the takedown. Maia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jackson keeps the fight on the outside. Maia wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Maia tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range. Maia tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maia shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Maia showed some decent athleticism there. Maia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well. Maia has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jackson defend it? Maia steps over the head and cranks it - Jackson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Maia!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Anderson Maia!
