0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hassan Van Den Berg! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Den Berg throws a right hand that Brockington ducks under and follows up with a left that Brockington also avoids with ease. Van Den Berg looks to land a combination but Brockington avoids it well. Van Den Berg throws a right and a left that Brockington avoids nicely. Brockington changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Van Den Berg fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oooh a lovely combination from Van Den Berg sends Brockington down but not out. Van Den Berg dives into side control looking to finish.
It looks like Kevin Brockington has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! You can see the frustration on Brockington's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Van Den Berg tries to get to his feet but Brockington is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Van Den Berg in his guard. Van Den Berg would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Brockington wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brockington pushes a forearm under Van Den Berg's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Van Den Berg is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
