Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaspar Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Aguila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victor Aguila has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gaspar Barros's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gaspar Barros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Aguila! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barros. Barros changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aguila looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Aguila really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barros. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barros tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Aguila tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barros wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Aguila is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Barros asserts his dominance and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barros working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barros fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Barros will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Aguila throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Barros is trying to get an arm triangle but Aguila is defending well. The ground and pound from Barros seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Aguila is trying to control Barros's posture but Barros avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Barros is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Aguila knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Aguila is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Barros asserts his dominance and retains side control. Aguila is trying to control Barros's posture but Barros avoids it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Aguila throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Barros fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aguila sprawls well initially but Barros persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Aguila looks like he's trying to stand up.
Barros is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Aguila has managed to free his arm - good work. Aguila is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Aguila is trying to control but Barros manages to pass to mount!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Aguila closes the distance and pushes Barros back into the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Aguila.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Aguila tries for a takedown but Barros manages to get underhooks.
Aguila is trying to break the clinch but Barros has him pressed against the cage. Aguila throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Barros blocks it with crossed arms. Aguila with an attempt at a knee that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Aguila in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Aguila throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barros works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Barros is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Barros working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Aguila. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Aguila wants to stand but Barros is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barros is working an open guard so Aguila takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Barros looks for a takedown but Aguila sprawls well. Barros doesn't succeed with the takedown and Aguila counters with a left and a right that stings Barros. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aguila is looking to clinch. Aguila takes the fight into the clinch. Aguila drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Aguila wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Aguila manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Barros keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Aguila stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Aguila scores with a decent looking hook. Aguila looks to land a combination. Barros sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Aguila tries to clinch up. Aguila tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fight stays on the outside here - Aguila looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Aguila gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Barros turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Barros manages to end up in side control. Aguila prevents Barros from moving into mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barros tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Aguila tries to improve position but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Victor Aguila comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Barros has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
