PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Britt Marsh (ranked 24869 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hammer (ranked 6283 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Britt Marsh has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hammer forces Marsh back against the cage and clinches.
Hammer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hammer is trying to stall.

Hammer has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Marsh regains guard immediately.

Marsh has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hammer off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Marsh rushes Hammer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Marsh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hammer's guard.


Marsh gets to his feet - Hammer follows without any prompting.
Marsh tries to bum rush Hammer with a series of wild strikes but Hammer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hammer gets caught flat footed, as Marsh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Marsh shoots in and gets a takedown into Hammer's guard.

Hammer has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Marsh is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hammer.

Marsh decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hammer to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marsh rushes Hammer and presses him up against the cage.

Marsh closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hammer to the mat! Hammer manages to get full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Marsh is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Marsh wants to get up but he can't break Hammer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Marsh gets to his feet. Hammer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hammer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marsh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hammer to the mat. Hammer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Hammer wants to control from the top but Marsh keeps moving.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marsh is on top in guard.

Marsh slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Hammer.

Marsh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hammer keeps working.
Marsh tries to stand and escape but Hammer is controlling the position.
Marsh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Marsh wants to stand up but Hammer is controlling the position.

Marsh is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hammer is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
