Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Art Thompson (ranked 23258 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shjon Luis (ranked 6152 p4p, 0 weight class). Luis has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Luis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Thompson tries to bench press Luis off him but Luis keeps the position.
Luis working the strikes but Thompson uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Luis looks winded!
Thompson is staying active underneath Luis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Luis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thompson defends it well.
Luis prevents Thompson from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thompson sees it coming and defends easily.
Luis decides to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Luis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thompson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Luis prevents Thompson from escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luis stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Thompson wants to clinch up but Luis keeps it at a distance.
Thompson lands a high kick!
Thompson clinches with his opponent.

A bit of stalling here from Thompson.
Luis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Luis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Thompson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Thompson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Thompson has Luis up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thompson jumps guard but Luis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Luis gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Thompson regains guard.
Luis won't allow Thompson to get back to his feet.
Luis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Thompson wriggles free and stands up.
Luis takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thompson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Luis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Art Thompson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Luis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Thompson!
Thompson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Luis's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thompson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Art Thompson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Thompson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Luis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Luis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thompson's guard.
Thompson pushes Luis off and gets back to his feet.
Thompson instigates a clinch.
Luis tries to break free but Thompson pushes him back against the cage.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Thompson obliges.
Luis is breathing heavily.
Luis gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Thompson regains guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thompson pushes a forearm under Luis's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Luis is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
