Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapman misses with a kick to the body
so Marshall counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Chapman is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Chapman is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Marshall is keeping busy.
Marshall turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marshall manages to end up in side control.
Chapman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marshall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marshall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chapman is looking to improve his position but Marshall isn't that keen on the idea.
