The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tommerson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Olsen swivels and escapes.
Tommerson leaves Olsen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Olsen is looking to counter the offense by Tommerson and move into the clinch.
Tommerson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Olsen was covering up waiting for the punch and Tommerson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Olsen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tommerson stuffs the takedown attempt from Olsen. Olsen gets slowly back to his feet.

Tommerson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Olsen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Olsen bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Tommerson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Olsen kicks off Tommerson and gets to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Walton Olsen will probably get the nod.

Tommerson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Olsen has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Olsen is trying to stand.

Tommerson has hold of Olsen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Olsen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tommerson is riding his opponent, not letting Olsen buck him off.
Let's hope that Tommerson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Olsen just trying to survive but Tommerson is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Tommerson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Olsen is defending well but eventually Tommerson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Olsen has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
